There’s something compelling about a world that keeps going after everything familiar has fallen apart. That is the starting point for Rid the Dead, a zombie survival game from Fortified Studios.

A world worth surviving

The premise draws inspiration from SurrounDead and State of Decay 2. For now, the simplest introduction is also the most honest: this is a zombie survival game, and this space is where we will share more about it.

The artwork accompanying this introduction is an imagined view of that atmosphere. It explores the meeting of abandoned settlements and returning wilderness. It is concept artwork, not a screenshot or a demonstration of game features.

A place for the process

Future devlogs can take a closer look at the decisions behind the game: what we are exploring, what we learn, and how ideas change along the way. This sample article establishes a place for those stories without announcing a development milestone.

The roadmap follows the same approach. Its current entries are illustrative examples, not a schedule or a list of promised features. Actual development priorities will replace them when there is more to share.

Thanks for taking this first look at Rid the Dead. There is more of its story to tell.
